Me and my Dream A writer is a special being. He/she is a universe, with thousands upon thousands of worlds floating within. Every now and then, when the time is right and the moment special, that world becomes a star, and others are able to see its light through the writer's words. Can you guys tell I tried really hard on that? Is it captivating enough? Good. My parents didn't come here from the Carribean for me to have a simple 9-5. I'd like to think they'd had a better plan than that. I'm very proud to say that this is my first blog that I've made. I realized that in order to be a good writer, I can't just stick to one avenue of the art. Writing is such a huge and flexible thing, so I figured I'd not only write a novel, but a blog about that novel. I don't think there's a single kid out there that hasn't tried an art or a sport. I dabbled in both, but never being much of athlete, I spent most of my time writing, and I did so without any incentive from my parents. (Isn't that what all parents wish they had? A kid that they didn't have to tell to unplug and do something constructive?) Not only am I a triplet, but also an older brother to my little sister, and from my childhood to present day, my siblings and I would tell stories and fantasy worlds and realms. It was then that it hit me. "Use your passion and make those fantasies real." So I did on that faithful day of November 14, 2015, while still a little new to the highschool sophmore experience. Even if my book never becomes a hit, I'm writing it for my family, and for me. A lot of people never follow through with their childhood dreams, their passions, and sometimes they regret it. I want to break that trend. I want to work for myself. I want to write a book, many books, and so I'm starting with my first. I want my book(s) to be radiant.
